Is there no end to it? [Dec. 22nd, 2009|11:07 pm]
Robert Hutchinson
(Crossposted to DW.)

So, I just got around to watching that epic 70-minute-long review of The Phantom Menace that everyone's been raving about. And I get 17 minutes in, to discover that the reviewer expects me to find it amusing that his narrator "character" has TRIGGER WARNINGCollapse )

I find this sort of thing CRITICAL NEED-TO-KNOW INFORMATION when being presented with a YouTube video.

So, if you haven't seen it yet, I strongly strongly advise against it. I feel sick.

2*2*7 [Nov. 16th, 2009|10:00 pm]

I nearly hit a car this morning on my way to work--it suddenly veered off the road, I'm assuming due to something like a flat tire. The whole workday was very busy. And I seem to be getting some sort of cold, only a few weeks after getting over a different one.

But my mom sent me a lovely card and we had a nice talk on the phone, my coworkers took me out to lunch, I got wonderful Facebook updates in my e-mail all day from people writing on my Wall, not to mention the well-wishes on LJ and Twitter, and a certain Julia and a certain Mike called me to sing "Happy Birthday to You".

Best birthday ever. Thanks, friends. :)

I have posted some rage over at Dreamwidth! I feel more and more like posting such things, and I would sort of like to keep them separate from what I use this journal for. But that doesn't mean I don't want my friends and acquaintances to read my DW if they want to! All are welcome.

What. [Sep. 27th, 2009|08:39 pm]

Trigger warning--what I'm linking to involves someone's opinion of the Roman Polanski arrest.

I find this to be fucked up. Specifically, the beginning and end of the second paragraph, and the end of the third paragraph (which is a joke that I get, but still).

Am I wrong?

Ides [Sep. 14th, 2009|01:00 am]

Two weeks of full-time work. Not really that different from what I was already doing--just more of it. Can't wait for my first bigger paycheck, bounce bounce bounce.

Life has been ... interesting, in other ways that I haven't really talked about around here. But I have a better job, and an ever-growing number of good friends, so I'm not too inclined to try to whine about anything right now. :D

Oh, and every time I consider starting a "real" blog, not only do I not do it, but I don't write anything on LJ for a month. Good to know there are still constants.

Is there anyone reading this who is both an NPLer and a fan of the webcomic Achewood? Because I just realized, a week late, that we were recently given a LAST-LETTER CHANGE (*2*4, *6) (none MW).

That is all.

Sending this briefly by e-mail. I'm not sure how close I'll be to an
Internet connection over the next few days. If you need to contact me,
you can e-mail me at my LJ username at gmail dot com, as I will
probably at least find a way to check that now and again. Thanks.

Pictures! [Jul. 12th, 2009|11:21 pm]
Robert Hutchinson
Would I lie to you?

While I doubted the usefulness of taking this picture, it has now become humorous to me because it's about six weeks old at this point.

Frito-Lay accurately assesses my general sources of fun.

Slappy wants to know why I had to take a picture of him while he was in the bathroom. It's very rude.

Photographic evidence of the elusive Julia (jedusor)! You can see her reflection in the seat because it's shiny. And my reflection in the window because it's after midnight.
