Journal note [May. 4th, 2010|07:34 pm]
Robert Hutchinson
I posted a joke about 20 minutes ago. I thought of it this morning, and evaluating it solely in Joke Analysis Mode, I immodestly think it's hilarious, even 10 hours later.

... but it involves, however indirectly, the nightmarish flooding that's ongoing in the Nashville area. I don't know if my joke crossed a line, but dammit, my conscience would not shut up about it, so I have set that entry to Private so I can feel some peace with myself. If anyone reading this saw it before I locked it, I apologize if it offended you. And folks are welcome to comment on this entry regarding the hazards of making jokes that tweak one's conscience.

The easiest approach is not to have a conscience to begin with. :-D On a related note, what was the joke?

Eh, I guess I can write it out if I'm just talking about it and not trying to be clever:

Linked to a story about a country singer coming out. Then linked to a picture of the flooded Grand Ole Opry. Said that Pat Robertson and the "boobquake" cleric would be holding a press conference to explain.
